RAPE - POTSDAM - A 25-year-old man is accused of having sex with a second underage girl.
Dustin L. Musick, Potsdam, was charged Friday with felony third-degree rape, village police said. He was accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl in October.
He was arraigned in Village Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $5,000 bail, police said.
On Monday, Mr. Musick was charged with two counts of third-degree rape and a single count of third-degree criminal sexual act, all felonies, police said. He was accused of having sex several times with a 15-year-old last summer.
Mr. Musick was arraigned on those charges in Stockholm Town Court and sent to county jail on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
He also is wanted by Norfolk, Va., police on a probation warrant. He reportedly skipped on his probation from a 2003 robbery conviction, police said.
CRIMINAL SEXUAL ACT - WADDINGTON - A 46-year-old man is accused of having sexual contact with a child under age 11.
Timothy J. Johnson, of 640 County Route 33, Waddington, was charged Friday with first-degree criminal sexual act, a felony, and child endangerment, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said.
He was arraigned in Town Court before Judge Lloyd Grandy and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond.
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - NORFOLK - A Norfolk man is accused of violating a protection order by visiting an ex-girlfriend's home several times.
Adam A. Gauthier, 22, was charged Thursday with felony first-degree criminal contempt, state police said. He reportedly visited the home of Brandee J. Arquiett, along with calling her.
He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
DWI - CANTON - Antonio Valentin III, 20, of 49 W. Main St., Building A, Apt. 19, Canton, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right when stopped on West Main Street, Canton village police said. He registered a 0.16 percent blood alcohol content.
PAROLE WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police took Robert W. Northrup, 60, of 834 Ford St., Ogdensburg, formerly of Massena, into custody Wednesday after he walked into the police station to turn himself in on a state parole warrant. He was arrested on the warrant and transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
INADEQUATE HEADLAMPS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jason M. Despaw, 20, of Norfolk for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights following a traffic stop at 11:30 p.m. Monday on South Main Street.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - STOCKHOLM - Massena-based state police arrested Matthew C. Arquitt, 42, of 15 Congress St., Brasher Falls, at 2:32 a.m. Friday for third-degree criminal mischief following an incident at the Stewarts Shop in Winthrop. Mr. Arquitt allegedly broke the front door window of the shop early Friday morning, causing $250 in damage. He is scheduled to appear in Stockholm Town Court.
BURGLARIES - NORFOLK - St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a string of burglaries in the town of Norfolk and the village of Norwood. Police said at least three residents reported their homes had been broken into and items stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's department at 379-2222.
