James A. Peterson
MASSENA - Funeral services for James A. Peterson, 66, of State Highway 56, Massena, will be Friday, March 5, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at Phillips Memorial Home in Waddington. Internment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends and family may be received on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral at the Phillips Memorial Home in Waddington.
James is survived by a daughter, Lori Peterson of Massena; two sisters, Linda Peterson of Watertown, N.Y., and Cheryl Cooley of Watertown, N.Y.; a brother, Gerald Peterson of Canton, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two special friends, Pauline Louey and Marlene Demers.
He was born April 8, 1943 in Ogdensburg, N.Y., the son of Alton W. and Catherine Frances (Akin) Peterson. He graduated from Madrid-Waddington Central School. He married Frances Adele on July 1, 1972 at St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Syracuse. Mrs. Peterson predeceased him in 1996.
He was employed for 22 years at Carrier Corp. in Syracuse where he was a lineworker. He also supervised the Developmental Disabled Adults at Monarch Industries in Syracuse. James loved all outdoor working and loved his home.
