DWI - POTSDAM - Andrew W. Ristau, 20, of Fayetteville, was charged early Friday with driving while intoxicated, village police said.

Police allege Mr. Ristau's blood alcohol content was 0.14 percent when officers pulled him over for driving in the oncoming traffic lane on Market Street.

DWI - POTSDAM - A Washington County man was charged with drunken driving Thursday afternoon.

State police in Canton allege 50-year-old Michael L. Huntington, of Whitehall, had a 0.14 percent blood alcohol content when troopers stopped his vehicle on Old Potsdam-Parishville Road. He was released on a Town Court appearance ticket.

DWAI - DEKALB - State police in Gouverneur charged Justin R. Brozzo, 27, of 2275 Route 11, Gouverneur, with first-degree driving while ability impaired by drugs Thursday evening.

Troopers said Friday there was no information about what drug Mr. Brozzo is accused of taking before his car was stopped on Route 812 for failure to keep right. Troopers said his passenger, Brandon M. Love, 22, of Rensselaer Falls, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Both were released on appearance tickets.

MENACING - MASSENA - VIillage police charged Ivan E. Bonville, 62, of 9 Laurel Ave., Apt. 208, Massena, with second-degree menacing following an incident Thursday evening at his apartment. A neighbor told police she went to Bonneville's apartment to confront him at 10:30 p.m. Thursday about a broken plate she had found in her apartment. Police said Bonneville responded by grabbing the woman by her throat and placing a small meat cleaver near her head.

CELL PHONE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jason M. Ward, 28, of Massena for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 5:50 p.m. Thursday at North Main Street.
