CANTON - A funeral mass for Marian Jordan, 100, of Canton will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with Rev. Brain Stitt celebrating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Canton.

Friends may call at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 6-8pm.

Mrs. Jordan passed away on Friday (March 5, 2010) at the United Helpers Maplewood Campus.

Surviving Marian are four daughters, Myrna Jordan and Joan Newman, both of Canton, Diane and husband Lloyd Cunningham of Lake Odessa, Mich., and Rebecca and husband Christopher O'Brien of Lisbon; a sister, Winnie Fife or Ogdensburg; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Jordan of Canton; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, William Jordan; two brothers, Robert and Charles Jones; and a sister, Eloise Bartholemeu.

Marion was born June 17, 1909 in Lisbon, the daughter of the late William G. and Rena (Fisher) Jones. She graduated from Madrid schools and Potsdam Normal School. She was a teacher at the Gregory Corners Country School for a short time.

She married John Jordan on Sept. 4, 1930 at St. Mary's Church in Canton with Rev. John O'Neil celebrating.

She was a member of the Morley Home Bureau and the Morley Grange as well as a communicant of St. Mary's Church.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Mary's Church or to the Untied Helpers Maplewood Campus.
