Patricia E. (Spooner) Bronchetti

CANTON - Funeral services for Patricia E. (Spooner) Bronchetti, 72, of Riverside Drive in Canton will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Fox and Murray Funeral Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Entombment will follow at Foxwood Memorial Park.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6 -8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bronchetti passed away Sunday (March 7, 2010) at the Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving is a son, Clede Spoonerand wife Shelley of Canton; two daughters, Debra Mitchell and husband Larry "Rock"of Ogdensburg and Penny Swan and husband Tracy of Prescott, Ont.; a sister, Ione Hanna of Heuvelton; two brothers, Paul Hanna and wife Katie of Heuvelton and John Hanna and wife Vera of Canton; seven grandchildren, Clede Spooner and fiancee' Sarah Birmingham of Rochester, Bridget Spooner of Canton attending College in Springfield, Mass., Andy Mitchell and wife Stacie, Brian Mitchell and wife Trina and Eric Mitchell, all of Ogdensburg, Dustin Swan and fiancee` Tawnya Hall-Brodie of Toronto, Ont., April Bertrand and husband Jason of Toronto, Ont.; seven great-grandchildren, Landon Swan, Austin and Aiden Bertrand, Jenna, Ryan, Alex and Kaeleigh Mitchell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Leonard, and a brother, David Hanna.

Mrs. Bronchetti was born on June 9, 1937 in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Golden) Hanna. She graduated from Canton High School.

She married Richard Spooner in 1957. The marriage ended in divorce.

She worked at Ames Department Store in Ogdensburg for a few years, and then became employed at Newell Manufacturing, where she was employed for 17 years.

She married Leonard Bronchetti July 17, 1985 and relocated to Florida, where she began working at the Tropicana Company.

In 1990, Pat completed her nurse's aide training and relocated back to Ogdensburg, where she began working at Cedars Nursing Home until 2002.

She was a member of the Ogdensburg Women's Bowling League and enjoyed spending time with her family, her pet dog scrappy and her friends.

Memorial contributions have been requested to the SPCA or Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
