PETIT LARCENY - MADRID - Two teenagers were accused of stealing $5 in gas and $27.50 in cash from Wayne's Gas Station on Route 310.

Allen R. Caughey, 19, of 71 W. Main St., Norfolk, and Jacob E. Cameron, 18, of 13506 Route 37, Norfolk, were both charged Wednesday with child endangerment and petit larceny, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said.

Both were accused of having an unidentified youngster go inside the store on July 15 and inform the clerk they had 650 bottles to return, deputies said. The clerk paid the youngster $27.50, subtracting the gas from the total of $32.50. She then quickly learned they didn't have bottles.

When the clerk confronted the trio, Mr. Caughey and Mr. Cameron left the store leaving the juvenile behind.

Mr. Caughey and Mr. Cameron were both issued appearance tickets for Town Court. The sheriff's juvenile division is handling the case with the youngster.

HARASSMENT - CANTON - A Hermon man is accused of flagging down his estranged wife Patricia A. Murdock on Miner Street Road, taking her cell phone and pushing her.

Michael R. Murdock, 52, of 179 Northwoods Road, was charged Thursday with petit larceny and second-degree harassment, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. He reportedly flagged her down on Wednesday.

He was arraigned in Town Court and released under probation supervision.

DWI - BOMBAY - Raymond Roy, 63, Vaudreuil-Dorion, Que., was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated and failure to stop before entering a road when stopped on Route 37 in the town of Bombay, state police said.

He registered a 0.13 percent blood alcohol content.

FAILURE TO YIELD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Janet A. Bertrand, 72, of Monroe Parkway, Massena, for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection following a property damage accident at 1:45 p.m. Friday at the intersection of South Main Street and Cook Street.

UNSECURE LOAD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Justin E. Fisher, 34, of Potsdam for operating a vehicle with an unsecure load following a traffic stop at 12:40 p.m. Friday on Main Street.

CELL PHONE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Bruce J. Converse, 53, of Trippany Road, Massena, for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 12:15 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Grove Street and state Route 37.

DWI - MASSENA - A Massena man was charged with driving while intoxicated after the Cadillac he was driving through the intersection at East Orvis and Main streets at 6:37 p.m. Friday was struck by another vehicle.

Massena Village Police said Rose M. Lobdell, 43, of 35 Talcott St., Massena, was southbound on Main Street in a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup when she turned left onto East Orvis Street and struck a vehicle operated by Gary R. Donaldson, 65, of 173 McKinley Court, Massena.

Donaldson was charged with driving while intoxicated. He had a blood alcohol content of 0.11 percent.

Police said other charges are pending.

Lobdell and a male passenger in her vehicle were transported to Massena Memorial Hospital by Massena Rescue. Police later took Donaldson to MMH for treatment.
