OGDENSBURG - Funeral services for Lawrence Marlow, 69, of Linden Street, Ogdensburg, will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at Notre Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating.

Mr. Marlow passed away on Monday (Aug. 24, 2010) at his home.

Mr. Marlow is survived by his wife, Claire; two sons, Douglas of Ogdensburg, and Stephen and wife Elizabeth of Richville; three daughters, Susan Bouchey and husband Thomas of Ogdensburg, Tammy Carr and husband Richard of Lisbon, and Robin Hayes and husband Daniel of Orlando, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one daughter, Lawrelle Marlow, on Sept. 9, 1987; and one brother, Paul, in 1988.

Mr. Marlow was born Aug. 29, 1940 in Ogdensburg, the son of Aldama and Mary Ella (Watson) Marlow. He graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1958.

He married Claire Bouchard on April 11, 1964 at Notre Dame Church with Rev. LaValley officiating.

He first worked for the family business, Al Marlow & Sons Poultry and Truck Farming. He retired in 2000 due to disability and during this time he sold Miracle Ear and ran Marlow's Bus Corp. from 1977 to 1984.

Mr. Marlow was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and the Oddfellows. Mr. Marlow enjoyed bowling, Seaway Slow Pitch and going to the casino.
