OGDENSBURG - Funeral services for Ella Marie Hazelton Williams, 83, of Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Joe Morgan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home.

Mrs. Williams passed away on Aug. 24, 2010 at her daughter's home in Russell.

Mrs. Williams is survived six children, Mrs. Herbert (Norma) Lovely of Ogdensburg, Mr. Daniel Williams and wife Connie of Illinois, Mr. Michael Williams and wife Debra of Ogdensburg, Mr. Edward Williams and wife Debra of Ogdensburg, Mr. Stephen Williams and wife Ronda of Star Lake and Mrs. Thomas (Rita) Clarke of Russell; one sister, Myrtle Hazelton Cummings of Mississippi.

She was predeceased by her husband, Morris "Barney" Williams; two sons, Theodore Francis Williams and Eugene Douglas McEathron; one sister, Florence Hazelton McEathron and one brother, Herbert Hazelton.

Mrs. Williams was born Sept. 1, 1926 in Canton, the daughter of Fredrick Sullivan and Nettie Agnes Forbes Hazelton. She attended local schools.

A marriage to Ernie McEathron ended in divorce.

She later married Morris Merton Williams on Nov. 12, 1944.

When she was younger, she worked miscellaneous jobs. She then went to work for Diamond International for quite a while later working in the laundry department at Claxton Hepburn Medical Hospital.

Mrs. Williams enjoyed doing Circle Word Books, tending to her flowers, and enjoying her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
