Michael Leo Francis

MASSENA - Funeral services for Michael Leo Francis, 45, of Bayley Road, Massena, will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena, with Pastor Colin Lucid officiating. Interment will be in Louisville Community Cemetery

Michael passed away at home Saturday (Aug. 28, 2010).

The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Betty and Floyd Murray of Massena; one daughter, Taylor, at home; his loving companion and her two children, Kelly LaRock of Massena and Jolen LaRock of Ogdensburg, Jordan Strathdee of West Chazy; five sisters, Brenda Francis of Massena, Bonnie Francis and fiancee Charles Staffieri of New Jersey, Patti and husband Patrick of North Bangor, Lisa and husband Steve Furnace of Lousiville, and Sandra and husband Paul Oatman of Antwerp; two brothers, Thomas and wife Tammy Campbell of Russell and Timothy Farquhar of Watertown; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Leo Francis.

Michael was born June 13, 1965 in Massena, the son of Leo T. and Betty I. Butterbaugh Francis.

He worked for the A.J. Missert, Inc., of Ogdensburg.

Michael was a devoted father who loved his daughter dearly and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and camping as well as spending time with his two dogs, Max and Marley.
