MORRISTOWN, Tenn. - Mrs. Helena E. Kilbourne-Weeks, 97, of Morristown, Tenn. passed away Sunday (Aug. 29, 2010) at home.

She was a retired civil service employee of the Rome Developmental Center of Rome. Helena was a long standing member at St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Morristown, Tenn. and the eldest member of the Nightingale Red Hat Club.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Emmett and Estella Main of Lowville, and her husband of 52 years, Kermit A. Kilbourne of Rome.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, John, Clarence, Dennis, Lyle, Mildred, Elsie, and Ethel of Lowville.

She is survived by her daughters, Judith Skinner of Milford, Dela., Kay Barr of Colton and Salem, S.C., and Patricia Holmes and husband Robert of Morristown, Tenn.; grandchildren Debbie Case of Milford, Dela., Christine Haynes and husband George of Baltimore, Md., John Marsh of Freehold, N.J., Jim Marsh and wife Kathy of Media, Pa., David Barr of Florida, Becky Barr Paul and husband Andy of Colton, Brian Barr and wife Stephanie of Schenectady, Sheryl Holmes of Morristown, Tenn., and Donald Holmes and wife Glynis of Branchburg, N.J.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren John Case III and Miriam of Milford, Dela., Bobby Case and wife Stephanie of Milford, Dela., Billy Case of Milford, Dela., Scott and Daniel Haynes of Baltimore, Md., Cody Marsh of Media, Pa., Lindsay and Jenna Paul of Colton, Joshua and Gabriel Trenholm of Morristown, Tenn., and Eric Holmes of Janelew, W.V.; and great-great-grandchildren, Savannah, John IV and Alison Case of Milford, Dela. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as her caregiver and loving friend, Eleanor McDaniel of Morristown, Tenn.

Funeral services will be overseen by Stetzer Funeral Home of Morristown, Tenn.

The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at St Patrick's Catholic Church with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11 a.m. The interment will be at the St. Patrick's Columbarium following mass.

A bereavement luncheon will be provided by the St. Patrick's Bereavement Committee immediately following the Interment for family and close friends in the Parish Center.
