Marion L. "Betty" Livingston

OGDENSBURG - Betty Livingston, 75, of the town of Oswegatchie, died Wednesday (Sept. 1, 2010) at Samaritan Medical Center, Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, in care of arrangements.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

A funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Norman Bice officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Eel Weir.

Betty is survived by a son, Robert (Kathy) Livingston; daughters Mary Jane Kerr, Linda Livingston and Joan Livingston, of Ogdensburg, Peggy Livingston (companion Junior Wilson), of Hammond, Jayne (Antonio) Soto of Cleveland, and Katherine (Craig) Stevenson of Clayton; grandchildren Michael (Jill), Joshua, Erin (companion Brad Dobbs) and Emily Livingston, Joshua and Paul Kerr, of Ogdensburg, Niehemiah and Aaron Soto of Cleveland; great grandchildren Anna and Alayna Dobbs and Payton Livingston of Ogdensburg, Dylan, Thomas and Ivan Stevenson of Clayton; brothers Bill (Gina) Jones of Florida and Larry (Shirley) Jones of DeKalb Junction; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Livingston; brothers Thomas and Malcolm Jones; and a sister, Carole Foster.

She was born Jan. 12, 1935, in Hermon, the child of Fred and Arlene Priest Jones.

She married Ivan Livingston on May 11, 1953 at the Galilee Church. Ivan died Aug. 28, 2006.

She did farming on the family farm and was a homemaker.

She loved her grandchildren, her dog Charlie, her cat Scrappy, scrap booking, country music, traveling, cooking, and visiting her friends. Contributions can be made to the SPCA.
