Donna J. Sellers
OGDENSBURG - Funeral services for Donna J. Sellers, 72, a resident of the United Helpers Nursing Home and formerly of County Route 4, Ogdensburg, will be held Wednesday at noon at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Longbottom officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held also on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sellers passed away Saturday (Sept. 4, 2010) at the nursing home surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald Sellers Jr. and wife Christine and Steven Sellers and wife Lorie, and one daughter, Julie Sellers, all of Ogdensburg; a sister, Phyllis Young and husband Robert of Heuvelton; a brother, Allen "Bud" Johnson and wife Theresa of Florida; grandchildren Ronnie Sellers, Trevor Johnson, Shaun Sellers, Heather Johnson, Megan Johnson, Tyler Sellers and Sarah Sellers; a great grandchild, Wyatt Sellers; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Donna was born Sept. 13, 1937 in Grand Rapids, Minn., daughter of the late Floyd and Annabell (Allen) Johnson. She graduated from Riverdale (North Dakota) High School and married Ronald D. Sellers Sr. on Oct. 11, 1958 at Notre Dame Church in Ogdensburg with Monsignor A.D. Charbonneau officiating. Ronald predeceased her on May 29, 1991.
She retired from Fays Drugs in 1991 after 14 years of continued service and then went to work part-time with her son, Steve, at the Corner Deli until 1996.
Donna was very involved watching her grandchildren in their extra curricular activities, and she enjoyed bingo, garage sales & cruises in her spare time.
Memorial contributions have been requested to the United Helpers Fund or the Heuvelton Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
