Brasher Robbery

BRASHER FALLS - A Brasher Falls teenager was jailed on a robbery count Monday night after he allegedly walked into the Tri-Town IGA armed with a baseball bat and demanded money.
State police said Michael G. Prior III, 18, of 872 state Route 11C, Brasher Falls, who was wearing a ski mask, slammed the bat on the counter and demanded money from the male teenage clerk. When he wasn't given any money, Prior reportedly grabbed a donation jug and ran out of the store.
The Brasher Falls teenager, who lives approximately two blocks from the store, was taken into custody a short time at his residence.
Prior was arraigned by Brasher Town Justice Jerry Mahoney and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Jail officials said he was being processed at press time.
