SLCSwims Past Salmon


BRASHER FALLS - The St. Lawrence Central varsity girls swim team gained a 51-29 NAC Division II decision at home over Salmon River on Tuesday.
The Lady Larries scored wins in seven of the first eight races before swimming exhibition over the final three events as they raised their overall record to 5-6.
Notching individual firsts for SLC were; Chelsea Savage in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:37.19, Shannon Ramsdell in the 200IM with a time of 2:49.79, Noelle Rufa in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:23.07, Sierra Sicard in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:11.98 and Cammie Ramsdell in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:36.18.
Cammie Ramsdell and Sicard also combined with Cheyenne Padgett and Faith McLaughlin to claim the 200 medley relay in 2:29.43. The quartet of Savage, Alysa Goad, Shannon Ramsdell and Cammie Ramsell paced the 200 freestyle relay in 2:07.9.
Shayna Travers led the 50 freestyle in 34.52 seconds and Errolynn Bradley paced the 100 backstroke in 1:224.34 to account for Salmon River's individual wins. Bradley also teamed up with Keira Brill, Abby Grant and Jessica McCray to capture the 400 freestyle relay in 5:29.99.
The Lady Larries are slated to host Potsdam on Thursday while the Lady Shamrocks (1-8) travel to OFA.
In the only other meet on Tuesday, Edwards-Knox outscored Division II rival Gouverneur 77-60.
