lisbon lions host polar bear plunge
The second annual Lions Club River Shiver 5K Polar Bear Run/Walk will t ake place on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m. sharp.
The Run/Walk is open to everyone whether they are a seasoned runner or a recreational walker so entrants are asked to bring friends and enjoy the day.
This event will again be hosted by the Lisbon and Ogdensburg Lions Clubs. The race will start and finish at the Dobisky Community Center in Ogdensburg.
There will be male and female divisions with six categories in each as well as an overall winner in both divisions. This year more categories and awards will be added to the walkers divisions as that proved to be very popular. Goody bags and doors prizes will also be given away.
The entry fee is $15 for pre-registration before Feb. 11, and $18 thereafter and on race day. Pre-registration will guarantee the entrant a long sleeve commemorative sponsor t-shirt. Race day entrants will receive t-shirts as available.
