MASSENA — A village justice sent a 17-year-old Massena youth charged with making what was described as a bomb back to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on Thursday after ruling evidence had been presented at a preliminary hearing to suggest the teenager had committed a felony offense.

Village police had charged Jordan J. Page, 7 Winters St., with a felony count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and a misdemeanor count of possession of a noxious material at 2 p.m. Monday at his residence.

He also was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after he allegedly was found in possession of two smoking devices and a small bag of marijuana.

He has been held at the jail with bail set at $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond since his arrest.
