Sisson Road Home Destory By Tuesday Evening Fire

POTSDAM - Volunteers from several area fire departments battle a blaze that ended up destroying the home at 44 Sisson Road Tuesday evening.

The home, which was unoccupied at the time is owned by Christopher P. and Apryl L. McDonald, of 749 county Route 38, Norfolk.

The fire was first reported at 7:56 p.m. and within minuted volunteers from the Potsdam, West Potsdam, Nowrood, West Stockholm, Louisville and Madrid fire departments were on there way to the scene.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.

Officials did note that the property was insured.
