PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Matthew A. Dewey, 23, of Potsdam was charged with petit larceny at 2:30 p.m. Friday by Canton-based state police after allegedly shoplifting from an unidentified Potsdam business. He was then released on an appearance ticket.

PETIT LARCENY - BRASHER - Amy J. Griffin, 23, of Brasher Falls, was charged by Massena-based state police with petit larceny after allegedly stealing items from an undisclosed location in Brasher. She was then released on an appearance ticket.

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS - PARISHVILLE - Adam M. Lesperance, 23, of Plattsburgh was charged by Canton-based state police with second-degree harassment and cruelty to animals at 3:50 p.m. Saturday in connection to a complaint lodged on Jan. 25 regarding an incident in the town of Parishville. He was then released on an appearance ticket.

STOLEN CREDIT CARD - BOMBAY - Floyd H. Smith, 24, and Ciera L. Smith, 22, both of Hogansburg were each charged over the weekend by Massena-based state police with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property following a state police investigation into reports of a stolen credit card.

DWI - MASSENA - Jessica L. Goodspeed, 30, of Chase Mills, was charged by Massena-based state police with driving while intoxicated at 5:49 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on the Highland Road in the town of Massena. She was additionally ticketed for failure to keep right and driving while using a cell phone. She was then released on an appearance ticket.

BURGLARY - FINE - Michael C. Brown, 23, of Brushton, was charged with third-degree burglary at 1 p.m. Sunday by Canton-based state police following a burglary attempt at an undisclosed location in the town of Fine.

STOLEN PROPERTY - PIERREPOINT - Francis T. Green, 34, of Parishville, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property at 9:20 a.m. Sunday by Canton-based state police. He was then released on an appearance ticket.

HARASSMENT - MASSENA - Christy A. Warriner, 45, of Massena, was charged by Massena-based state police with second-degree harassment at 8:35 a.m. Sunday, following an investigation into a dispute in the town of Massena on Dec. 14. She was then arraigned and released on her own recognizance.

OBSTRUCTION OF BREATH - BRASHER - Hope S. Pickering, 50, of North Lawrence, was charged with second-degree harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing at 5 p.m. Sunday by Winthrop-based state police following a dispute at a home on the Burke-Delosh Road in the town of Brasher. She was then released on an appearance ticket.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - NORFOLK - Evan L. Hoyt, 17, of Norwood, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 4:15 p.m. Sunday by Canton-based state police. He was additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to stop at a stop sign following a traffic stop on the Mill Road. He was then released on an appearance ticket.

HARASSMENT - NORFOLK - Stephen S. Grant, 25, of Norfolk, was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment at 12:05 p.m. Monday by Massena-based state police following an investigation into an incident reported on Jan. 24. He was then released on an appearance ticket.

MARIJUANA POSSESSION - LAWRENCE - Daniel J. Dubois, 20, of Winthrop, by Massena-based state police was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 1:42 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on state Route 11 C. He was additionally ticketed for inadequate headlights. He was then released on an appearance ticket.
