Herbert Sitzler

Herbert Sitzler of Seminole, Fl. and Colton,NY, formally of Massena passed away on Feb 10, 2012, in Cary, NC after a courageous but futile battle with cancer. Herb was born on Aug 5, 1935 in Nuernberg, Germany and moved to Massena in April 1959 to accept a job as tool & die maker at GM. Herb leaves behind his beloved wife, Rita of 52 years, devoted daughters Helga Tyo (Andrew), Apex, NC and Karin Cleary (Tim), Cary, NC, loving grandchildren Jarrett and Connor Tyo: Declan, Kendal and Laiken Cleary, as well as numerous extended family and dear friends. Herb’s positive spirit, infectious energy and enthusiasm for life continues in the many connections he had throughout his lifetime. He leaves behind much wisdom, love and treasured memories.
