NORWOOD - Mayor James H. McFaddin and two village trustees each earned re-election Tuesday in an election that saw a record number of voters for an uncontested race in the village.
Mayor James H. McFaddin earned 138 votes with trustees James Besaw earning 135 and Michael diVincenzo earning 128 votes.
In the race for village trustee, one write-in vote was cast for Linda Hayes.
Were pleased with the results. They show strong support for the present board, and well continue to work in the best interest of the taxpayers for the next four years, Mr. McFaddin said, adding that when the 124 ballots cast Tuesday were combined with the 14 absentee ballots the village ended up with 138 in an uncontested election year.
Thats the largest turnout on record for an uncontested year in the village, he said.
