Brasher Falls – The family of Tina Kay Todd, 53, will receive friends on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A “celebration of life” gathering will be held on Saturday starting at 11am at the Canton VFW.

Tina died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 19, 2012.

Born March 28, 1958 in Canton NY, a daughter of Donald and Bettie (Matthews) Gilson, she graduated Hugh C. Williams High School and later received her degree in Business from SUNY Canton. On October 11, 1980 she married the late Randy Todd ,Sr. Tina enjoyed gardening, sewing, and baking. She was a member of the VFW Post 1231 Ladies Auxiliary, Canton. During her youth she had bone cancer and was a cancer survivor. As a teenager she loved horses.

Surviving are two sons Randy (Beth Goolden) Todd, II of Brasher Falls and Ryan Todd of Parishville; three grandchildren Stella, Connor, and Claire; nine siblings Mary Hurd, Schaghticoke, NY; Janet Laddison, Hermon, NY; David Gilson, Potsdam, NY; Sally Miller, North Bend, OR, Dean Gilson, Smelterville, ID; Sheila Gilson, Ft. Leonardwood, MO; Douglas Gilson, Sayre, PA, Jeff Gilson, Canton, NY, and Gary Gilson, Liverpool, NY.

Tina was pre-deceased by her husband, her parents, her sisters Beatrice Mace and Betty Jane Smith, and grandson Randy Robert “Trey” Todd, III .
