Funeral services for Melinda (Mindy) S. Parmeter, 25 of Madrid, NY will be held Thursday (March 29, 2012) at 11:00 am at the Phillips Memorial Home, Madrid with Rev Helen Beck, Pastor of the United Church of Madrid officiating. Interment will follow in Madrid Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Phillips Memorial Home, Madrid.
Mindy passed away Sunday afternoon (March 25,2012) in Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse surrounded by her loving family, friends, her favorite doctor, Dr. Sri, and staff from the Oncology Unit and the MICU staff after a long battle with Leukemia.
Surviving Mindy is her daughter Keianna Rose Webb of Lisbon, a stepson, Zander Webb, her fiancé Brian Webb, her loving parents, Bonnie and Glenn Taylor , her brother Justin Taylor both of Lisbon, grandmothers, Betty Parmeter of Waddington, Connie Taylor of Canton, Nana Ethel Caskinette of Madrid, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Mindy was preceded in death by her grandparents Judson Parmeter and Kay Fetterly, her cousin Scott Rafter, great grandparents, Harold and Rose Villnave.
Mindy was born June 9, 1986 in Potsdam, NY. Mindy attended Madrid-Waddington Schools. She went on to become a Certified Nurses Aide where she worked in the Canton United Helpers Home as well as SLNYARC, Waddington, NY Mindy was an avid animal lover who enjoyed spending time with her dogs Zeke, Hailey and Narley, listening to music and talking on her cell phone.
Mindy was a member of the Waddington Rescue Squad Auxiliary.
Pallbearers for Mindys services will be Jimmy Webb, Andy Firsching, Robbie White, Ralph Sharlow, Justin Burns and Ross Vallance. The family wishes to thank the Regional Oncology Center, Dr Coyle, Dr. Sri and all the medical staff for Mindys care.
At the familys request memorial contributions may be made to the Upstate cancer center for research of leukemia, 750 East Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
