LISBON - A Lisbon man was charged Friday with stealing a chainsaw.

St. Lawrence county Sherriff’s Deputies arrested Michael R. Martin, 23, and charged him with a misdemenor charge of petit larceny. A telephone tip from a previous news release led to Martin’s arrest, deputies said. The Stihl MS-361 chain saw with a 24-inch bar was taken from a Main Street garage in Lisbon in March.

The sherriff’s office is reminding the public to record the serial numbers on expensive tools and equipment to aid in their recovery in the event of a theft.
