BUCKTON - The Brasher-Winthrop Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene of a mobile home fire late Tuesday morning in the town of Stockholm.

The rental property at 150 Haack Road, Buckton, was owned by Tim Ramsdell.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to beneath the mobile home.

“It was a good save,” said Brasher-Winthrop Fire Chief Pappy Kowalchuk. “Flames were pouring out from beneath the home when we arrived on the scene.”

They were aided on the scene by the Lawrenceville Volunteer Fire Department. The Tri-Town Volunteer Rescue Squad also responded to the scene, treating a female resident of the home for smoke inhalation.

The cause and origin of the fire remain unknown at this time.
