CANTON — The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency will host a free business energy workshop from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. April 17 at the Best Western University Inn, 90 E. Main St., Canton, to help institutions, companies, nonprofit organizations and owners of multifamily properties with programs that help reduce energy use and its cost.

Sign-ups will be available for free or reduced-cost energy assessments. Organizations and businesses can learn about cash-back incentives and low-cost financing options for energy-efficient improvements.

Representatives from the NY Energy $mart Communities Program, the New York Small Business Development Center, St. Lawrence Gas and National Grid will be present.
