POTSDAM Clarkson University officials are looking for a dog owner and his pet accused of biting a female on campus Sunday.
A spokesman for the school said the dog appeared to be a pit bull and the incident occurred on Clarkson Avenue at about 12:20 p.m.
The dog is described as white with black markings and a square nose that was walking on a chain leash with its owner a male who appeared to be in his 20s.
If university security cannot find the animal and confirm vaccinations, then the victim will have to undergo a series of rabies shots, the spokesman said.
Officials did not release further information about the incident.
Anyone with any information in finding the identity of the dog or its owner is asked to call campus security at 268-6666.
