ADAMS State police charged an Adams man with burglary in connection with the theft of several pieces of gold jewelry from a South Park Street residence on Tuesday.
Richard J. Stevens II, 24, of 95 Spring St., was charged with second-degree burglary, a Class C felony.
He is accused of taking several pieces of gold jewelry from 21 South Park St. and pawning them at the Immediate Cash for Gold kiosk at Salmon Run Mall, Watertown. Valued at $280, the jewelry was recovered by state police.
Mr. Stevens was arraigned before Town Justice Donald B. Shaw and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, on $1,000 bail, pending grand jury action.
