POTSDAM — Clarkson University and SUNY Canton will co-host the American Society of Civil Engineers Upstate New York Student Conference, featuring concrete canoe and steel bridge competitions, Friday and Saturday.

The steel bridge building and loading competition will be conducted at 9 a.m. Friday in SUNY Canton’s Roos House Athletic Center Ice Rink.

The concrete canoe display and races will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Norwood Lake Pavilion.

Both events are free and open to the public.

The first-place concrete canoe team will be invited to the ASCE National Concrete Canoe Competition in June.
