A Funeral Mass for Jeanne K. Moore, age 93, a resident of the River Ledge Heath Care and Rehab Center in Ogdensburg and formerly of Heuvelton, will be held 11:00am on Saturday (April 21, 2012) at St. Raphaels Catholic Church in Heuvelton with Reverend Jay Seymour officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00-8:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mrs. Moore died Sunday (April 15, 2012) at the River Ledge Health Care Center.
Surviving are her children Marilyn Moore & her companion Steven Bayne of De Peyster, Dr. Michele (Moore) Hansen & her husband Marcus Christian of Alstead, NH, James W. Moore & his wife Carol of South Lyon, MI, Arthur G. Moore & his wife Sue of Clearwater, FL; a sister Sally Gallagher of Watertown; a step-son Lloyd Liscum & his wife Jane of Lowville, NY; Ten grandchildren, Mytha Smith of Ogdensburg, Dylan Smith of Plattsburgh, Martin Hansen & his fiancee Anshika Verma of Cambridge, MA, Gregory Moore of Farmington, MI, Lucas Smith & his wife Cristy of Hammond, Anneke Hansen of New York City, Matthew Moore & his companion Clare OConnor of Madison, WI, Kimberly Smith & her companion Danny Dominie of Ogdensburg, Sean Moore & his wife Amalia of Madison, WI, Anita Hollis & her husband David of Lisbon; step-grandchildren Grant Liscum-Moore & his wife Beverly of Albuquerque, NM, Matthew Liscum & his wife Christine of Lebanon CT; great-grandchildren Ethan Dominie, Grace Smith, Drake Hollis, Gabriel Smith, Macks Hollis & Fiona Dominie; step-great-grandchildren William, Nicholas & Collin Liscum along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Her husband Arthur Clair Moore, a daughter Maureen Downing and two sisters Rosemarye Coughlin & Betty Tully predeceased her.
Jeanne was born on October 23, 1918 in Watertown, NY, a daughter of the late Anson & Rosealba (Legeault) Keib. She graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy and married Arthur C. Moore on December 25, 1941 at the Holy Family Church Rectory in Watertown. In 1945, the couple established a trucking business in Watertown, and then relocated to Heuvelton in 1952. Jeanne co-operated and managed the business financials until 1974 when her husband Arthur Clair died.
She was an active member of St. Raphaels Church and the Heuvelton Womens Bowling League, and enjoyed teaching crafts through the local co-op, knitting, reading, ceramics, listening to music and spending time with her family.
