Michael Netto and George LaBarr represented the Watertown YMCA Blue Sharks swimming team in the boys ages 15-18 division at the YMCA Short Course National Championships on April 2-5 in Greensboro, N.C.

Netto finished 26th in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking a time of 59.07 seconds. He took 36th in the 200 breaststroke, 69th in the 200 individual medley and 121st in the 50 freestyle.

LaBarr was 59th in the 100 free, 60th in the 50 free and 103rd in the 200 freestyle race.

There were 1,513 registered swimmers from 213 participating YMCA’s at the meet.
