Betty Hutton, 81, Cambray Courts, Gouverneur, was admitted Monday to Samaritan Medical Center with injuries she suffered in an accident at 6:45 a.m. at Route 11 and Valley View Drive in the town of Pamelia.

She was listed as stable on Tuesday. She suffered a head cut and chest pains, according to state police.

Her westbound car skidded out of control on snow- or slush-covered pavement and struck a tree, police said.
