Martin A. Moot’s Ward Street house has a new owner — it has been sold for $50,000 to JWN Enterprise, Watertown. The house was listed for sale at $59,000.

Mr. Moot battled with his neighbors and the city and lived in squalor at 126 Ward St. He died in September.

In 2007, the city condemned the house because of accumulated trash and plumbing problems. Mr. Moot was charged $41,305 for city staff and a contractor to remove about 35 tons of trash from the house.
