Czanderna, Lucile D., 85, who lived in Potsdam, NY from 1965—1978, died peacefully at home in Lakewood, CO on April 23, 2012. Survivors are her husband Alvin, a former Clarkson Professor, daughters Karel Czanderna, Kani Nichols, and their husbands, Dan Shirkey, and Bill Nichols, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Lucy was a Board member of the Thousand Islands Girl Scout Council while in Potsdam. Karel is currently Vice-Chair of the Clarkson Board of Trustees. The funeral service is on May 1 at 11 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2100 N. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO, 80214. The family prefers memorials be given to Bethlehem Lutheran or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. Interment will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.
