The last of four men accused of taking part in a home-invasion robbery in August on McClelland Street has pleaded guilty in Jefferson County Court to a charge stemming from the incident.

Daniel E. Keruskie, 35, pleaded guilty Wednesday to third-degree robbery and admitted to violating probation. He admitted that, with others, he entered the 329 McClelland St. residence of Glenn M. and Sabrina L. Gallo on Aug. 8 and forcibly stole property. Police said at the time that the Gallos were threatened with large pieces of wood and a knife, and that a television and cash were stolen.

Mr. Keruskie is expected to be sentenced May 18 to 1½ to 3 years in state prison. Judge Kim H. Martusewicz said he would recommend that Mr. Keruskie serve the sentence in the prison system’s shock incarceration program. If deemed eligible by the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, he will spend six months in prison and then serve the balance of his sentence on parole. At the time of his arrest, Mr. Keruskie was serving a five-year probation term imposed in April 2009 for a fourth-degree grand larceny conviction. He admitted to violating probation by committing the new crime.

Previously, Martin S. Coughlin, 43, was sentenced to three years in state prison after pleading guilty to second-degree attempted burglary in connection with the incident at the Gallo residence. Patrick M. Booth, 31, had pleaded guilty March 15 to second-degree attempted robbery and is expected to be sentenced May 7 to three years in prison. Ryan R. Hardy, 29, pleaded guilty April 6 to third-degree burglary and was sentenced to an unspecified amount of time served at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.

The Gallos were both indicted in February on allegations they allowed their home to be used as a place where people gathered to possess marijuana. It is further alleged that on Sept. 15 the husband and wife possessed more than 16 ounces of marijuana and scales used to weigh the drug at their residence. Those charges remain pending.
