LOWVILLE Village police have lodged numerous charges against a village man who was arrested April 20 following the discovery of drugs in his apartment.
Nathan D. Hotchkiss, 24, of 7523 S. State St., lower apartment, was charged with two counts apiece of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana and single counts of second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree criminal nuisance and unlawful possession of fireworks, answerable in Village Court.
The investigation is ongoing, police said, and other charges are pending.
Mr. Hotchkiss and Zachary T. Dailey, 20, of 5434 Park Place, were both removed from the Hotchkiss apartment April 20 and sent to Lewis County jail without bail for allegedly violating terms of probation after testing positive for marijuana use.
Police have said they collected 17 to 18 bags containing 1 to 3 grams of marijuana each, along with smoking devices and other paraphernalia, and that some residue had field tested positive for cocaine.
