TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Derrick A. Jerome, 20, of Canton for failure to obey a traffic device when he was traveling south on Market Street and passed through a left turn only lane at the intersection with Elm Street.



SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Shannon Leahey, 22, of Canton for speed in zone (49/30) following a traffic stop at 9:59 a.m. Friday on Maple Street.



FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Willie Robertson, 56, for following too closely following a two-vehicle property damage accident at 1:08 p.m. Friday on Maple Street at the Clarkson access road.

0117 Traffic stop. Ticket issued.

215 Patrol reports a fire alarm at Little Italy, Potsdam Fire Department was contacted andresponded.

0245 Trespass complaint on Hamilton Street.

0423 Noise complaint at 59 Market St.

0725 Received the report of a larceny from a vehicle on Bay Street.

0811 Granted permission to park for residents of a housing complex to park in a municipal lot to aide in Potsdam clean-up.

0823 Potsdam Rescue was paged for an ALS Intercept to Colton for a female patientpossibly having a stroke.

0857 Potsdam Rescue Squad was dispatched to Raymond Street for the report of a 50-year-old male patient experiencing a heart attack. Patrol responded to assist with treatment and transport of patient.

0920 A female subject contacted Potsdam Police Department to report that she had lost her purse and several personal documents. While speaking to the complainant, she determined that her debit card had been used fraudulently after it left her possession.

0959 Traffic stop. Ticket issued.

1015 A complainant entered Potsdam Police Department to report that his vehicle had been entered by unknown persons sometime during the night while parked on Barclay Street. Once inside the vehicle, the suspect removed an electronic device.

1035 Potsdam Rescue Squad was dispatched to respond mutual aid to Canton for an elderly male patient who is weak and unable to eat. Potsdam Rescue was disregarded shortly thereafter.

1131 Received and completed a NYS Department of Corrections and Community Services employment record check.

1206 Potsdam Fire and Police responded to 29 Pine St. for the smell of smoke in the kitchen.

1236 Report that someone had broken into a vehicle sometime during the night on Bay Street.

1250 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Maple Street. A verbal warning was issued.

1308 Property damage accident on Maple Street. Ticket issued.

1311 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Sandstone Drive. Verbal warning issued.

1435 Patrol completed an equipment inspection for a subject.

1456 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

1525 Officer responded to a domestic dispute.

1527 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

2147 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call

2152 Received a report of a disabled vehicle on Cedar Street that had been there most of the day. Officer responded, and vehicle was towed to impound.

2213 Officer responded along with Clarkson Security to a residence on Maple Street to check on the welfare of a Clarkson student.

2249 Traffic stop on Sandstone Drive. Verbal warning issued.

2257 Received a reckless driving complaint.

2310 Traffic stop on Market Street. Verbal warning issued.

2321 Traffic stop on Munson Street. Arrest made for driving while intoxicated.

2331 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.
