MASSENA - The Massena Central golf team braved some chilly spring conditions in posting a 226-252 win over Gouverneur in the NAC Division I season opener for both squads.

Playing at the par 36 front nine at the Gouverneur Country Club, the Raiders were led by Hunter Francis and Jayden Wood with 44’s. Brendon Dobbins shot a 45 folowed by Tyler Nevill with a 46 and Kendrick Swamp with a 47. Tyler Bradford carded a non-scoring 50.

Eugene Bishop, Codyh Bishop and Alex Prepare all posted rounds of 49 for the Wildcats. Cole Newvine had a 52 followed by Dan Kalina with a 54 and Code Stevens with a non-scoring 56.

The Raiders are slated to host OFA on Wednesday at the Massena Country Club starting at 3:30 p.m.
