Local teams participating in the 2012 Fireball Run, a 2,500-mile adventure tour featuring eight sites across the country, were announced Friday at Flower Memorial Library in Watertown.

Teams include Mike Colello of Frontenac Crystal Springs of Clayton, Mark Gaines from Stephens Media Group of Watertown and Erika Leonard from Leonard Printing of Carthage.

Teams were announced by the Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce staff and executives from Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla., who have been scouting film locations in Watertown this week. Universal Studios will produce a film highlighting the tour destinations and the competition will be streamed live on the Internet. Watertown will be featured on the sixth day of the tour. From there, the cars will visit Burlington, Vt., and finish the tour in Bangor, Maine.
