ANTWERP John C. Forney, 21, of 35220 Carpenter Road, was jailed Friday for allegedly making a telephone death threat to a woman.
Jefferson County sheriffs deputies arrested Mr. Forney on charges of first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment. Theresa Town Justice Roger Duvall set bail at $1,000, sending him to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown.
The phone call was made to Elizabeth Davenport at about 10 a.m. on April 9, according to sheriffs documents. Mr. Forney is alleged to have told her he was going to beat her face in, and put a bullet in her, the documents read.
Ms. Davenport holds an order of protection against him, according to the sheriffs office. She is the mother of his 11-month-old son.
He is serving a sentence of three years probation, given him in November in Jefferson County Court after he pleaded guilty to two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief.
