OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Isaac M. Griffith, 18, of Brooklyn with an open container violation at 12:54 a.m. Sunday on Main Street. Police said an officer observed Griffith walking on Main Street with an open container of an alcoholic beverage.



OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Brianna E. Soucy, 21, of Ballston Spa with an open container violation at 12:54 a.m. Sunday on Main Street. Police said an officer observed Soucy walking on Main Street with an open container of an alcoholic beverage.



AGGRAVATED DWI - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Nicholas A. Sgorrano, 24, of South Glens Falls with aggravated driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for failure to signal a lane change following a traffic stop at 3:23 a.m. Sunday on Main Street. His blood alcohol content was not available, but the aggravated DWI count means it was 0.18 percent of higher.



SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Kenneth B. Andrews, 60, of Norwood forspeed in zone (55/30)following a traffic stop at 5:01 p.m. Sunday on Pine Street.



FAILURE TO YIELD - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Melinda J. Orologio, 22, of Potsdam for failure to yield right of way following a traffic stop at 7:40 p.m. Sunday on Sisson Street. Police said they issued a ticket following a complaint that Orologio had failed to yield the right of way turning from Sisson Street onto Market Street.

0025 Traffic stop on Clarkson Campus. Verbal warning issued.

0054 Officer observed two subjects with open containers on Main Street. Tickets issued.

0105 Traffic stop on Pierrepont Avenue. Verbal warning issued.

0210 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

0224 Received a report of a stolen phone. Investigation continues.

0323 Traffic stop on Main Street. Arrest made for driving while intoxicated.

0430 Received a criminal mischief complaint from Clarkson Security.

0445 Officer responded to a burglar alarm at a local business.

0755 Complaint received from Clarkson University reporting the larceny of a generator.

0945 A NYS driver’s license was turned in that was found downtown. The owner was contacted.

1000 A purse was found in a yard belonging to a SUNY Potsdam Student, the owner has been contacted for retrieval.

1032 Multiple reports that the traffic lights at the intersections of Pine, Sandstone, Maple and Clarkson Avenue are in flash mode. Department of Transportation was contacted and will be responding with a one hour eta.

1200 Received report of an iPod that was stolen from a vehicle on Bay Street. No suspects

1255 Potsdam Rescue was dispatched to Walmart for a female with chest and abdominal pain.

1615 Report of a reckless driver on Market Street. Ticket issued.

1701 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Lower Pine Street. Ticket issued.

1728 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to Racquette Road for a male suffering from a possible stroke. While patrol was assisting Potsdam Rescue on scene, an officer observed several marijuana plants growing in the apartment. Plants were confiscated. Charges pending.

1818 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Sandstone Drive. A verbal warning was issued.

2052 Traffic stop on Market Street. Verbal warning issued.

2101 Received a report of a truck and trailer traveling with no lights on. Officer responded.

2302 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.
