FORT COVINGTON - The Salmon River Central boys lacrosse team relayed an 11-4 halftime lead into an 18-5 NAC win at home over Potsdam on Monday.
Seth Oakes led the winning attack with five goals and one assist. Dalston Day (4-1) and Ky Tarbell (3-2) also made lead contributions along with Austin Cavender as the Shamrocks took control in the third quarter with six unanswered goals. Kason Tarbell, Lakota Square, Kamm David and Braden Sunday netted the other goals.
Kyle Kingsley, paced the Sandstoners with two goals and one assist. Sam Miller, Cody Compeau and Brian Thomas each finished with a goal and assist.
Koby Johnson (2 saves) and Randy Peters (1 saves) shared crease duties in the win while Jason Cardinal turned aside 14 shots backstopping the Potsdam effort.
The Shamrocks, now 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the NAC, are slated to host Massena today at 4 p.m. while Potsdam (4-4, 3-3) travels to Ogdensburg to take on OFA starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Kennedy School Field.
