Ashley Merritt finished 3-for-5 with a double and drove in five runs as Watertown beat Immaculate Heart Central 12-5 in a Frontier League “A’’ Division softball game at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds on Monday.

Kadie Weed went 3-for-5 and drove in three runs for the Cyclones (1-5, 1-4), and Alyssa Esterline was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.

Mikayla Kobl doubled and tripled and drove in two runs for the Cavaliers (1-4, 0-4), and Angie Garibrant was 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

APW 17, LOWVILLE 0

Tori Stanton homered and tossed a shutout as the Rebels blanked the Red Raiders in a “B” Division game at Lowville.

Megan Phillips smacked three hits and drove in three runs for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (9-1, 8-1), while Katie Palmer added three hits.

Hailey Riley and Chelsea Koster had a pair of hits each for Lowville (3-5).

LAFARGEVILLE 3, SACKETS HARBOR 0

Amber Klock threw a one-hit shutout, striking out eight, as the Red Knights blanked the Patriots in a “D” Division game at LaFargeville.

Chanelle Savage drove in two runs for LaFargeville (5-3, 4-3) and Katie Dominie also doubled.

Samantha Menapace recorded the lone hit for Sackets Harbor (1-9, 1-7).

Alexandria 16, Belleville Henderson 2

The Purple Ghsots scored 15 runs in their final three at-bats to earn a “D’’ Division win at Belleville.

Amanda Lingenfelter had a single, double and four RBIs for Alexandria (4-4). Jordan Bush, who struck out 13, also went 2-for-4.

Kate Gerhke singled and doubled for the Panthers (2-5), and Kelsea Taylor added a double while striking out 12.

COPENHAGEN 30, LYME 3

Autumn Moser clubbed a grand slam as the Golden Knights routed the Indians in “D” Division play at Copenhagen.

Taylor Murtha had five RBIs for Copenhagen (2-7) and Brooke Spaulding scored four runs.

Taylor Brown went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Lyme (0-7).

canton 8, st. lawrence central 0

Emma Rexford pitched a two-hitter as Canton handed St. Lawrence Central its first softball loss of the season with an Northern Athletic Conference North Division shutout victory at Canton.

Rexford struck out eight and walked six en route to the victory. She also singled twice for Canton (4-0, 2-0), which scored four runs in the sixth inning.

Lindsay Thayer struck out 12 in the loss for St. Lawrence (5-1, 0-1).

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 9, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 1

Emily O’Connor picked up the win for the Panthers, tossing a complete-game five hitter. O’Connor struck out 11 Flyers without a walk.

Sandra Martin led the offense with two hits and an RBI, while Shelby St. Mary hit a two-run single. Rachel Tower also drove in two runs.

OFA 9, MALONE 2

Stacy Barr’s two-run triple highlighted a nine-run outburst in the bottom of the sixth inning as Ogdensburg Free Academy captured its Central Division home opener against Malone at Ogdensburg.

Mackenzie Cole and Korie Bresett each added RBI singles, and MaKenzie Stevenson added a two-run triple to cap the scoring for the Blue Devils (3-0 North).

GOUVERNUR 15, POTSDAM 4

Jaelyn Gotham struck out 10 over six innings as Gouverneur romped to a Central Division victory in Gouverneur.

Kortney Bishop pitched the final inning of the four-hitter, striking out two. Nictoria Bates doubled twice, singled and drove in three runs for Gouverneur (1-4, 1-2). Rachel Hooley went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, and Bishop drove in four on two hits.

Erica Mason singled twice for Potsdam (0-4, 0-2).

HERMON-DEKALB 16, LISBON 6

Brianna Sayer dominated on the mound and at the plate to power Hermon-DeKalb to a West Division victory at Lisbon.





Mariah Patnaude belted a game-winning home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Madrid-Waddington the victory in the first game en route to an East Division doubleheader sweep at Madrid.

Des Pryce gained the win, adding two hits. Patnaude, Blair Cryderman and Tori Long also supplied two hits, and Long tripled. Brittany Rondeau doubled and homered for St. Regis Falls.

In the second game, Cryderman struck out seven en route to the complete-game win and went 3-for-3. Legan Barkley was 4-for4 with two doubles and six RBIs. Patnaude went 3-for-4 with a triple, double and three RBIs. Emily Upstrom and Taylor Marcellus produced three hits, as did Pryce. Megan Gabri singled twice.

Rondeau doubled and singled for St. Regis Falls, and Makenzy Bazderik singled twice.

COLTON-PIERREPONT 5, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 1

Brianna Bealieu pitched a one-hitter, striking out six, to lead Colton-Pierrepont to the East Division victory over Parishville-Hopikinton in Parishville.

Tara Hennessy went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs for the Colts (5-1, 3-1). Her two-run single in the fifth inning highlighted the offense.

Kodi Perkin supplied the lone hit for the Panthers (1-3, 1-1).

HERMON-DEKALB 16, LISBON 6

Brianna Sayer dominated on the mound and at the plate to power Hermon-DeKalb to a West Division victory at Lisbon.

Sayer struck out 11 and threw a six-hitter for the victory. She led the Demons (5-1, 2-0) on offense with a home run and three singles.

Jen Gotham also hit a home run for Hermon-DeKalb, and added two doubles and a single. Rhys Bryant tripled and doubled, and Sabrina Wood doubled and singled. Brookie Woodrow and Clarisa Davis each added two hits.

Katie Sovie supplied two singles for LIsbon (0-5, 0-3).

HARRISVILLE 15, CLIFTON-FINE 4

Hannah Weaver pitched a three-hitter, striking out 10, as Harrisville defeated Clifton-Fine in a West Division game in Harrisville.

Samantha Rounds hit a home run and singled twice for Harrisville (2-4, 2-1). Sierra Hewitt contributed a triple and two singles. Hunter Fowler triples, and Megan MacIntosh singled twice.

Delaney Kerr distributed two singles and Mallory Folsom tripled for Clifton-Fine (0-3, 0-2).

MASSENA 17, SALMON RIVER 1

Sierra Streeter pitched the complete game, walking none and allowing three singles, to lift Massena past Salmon River in an interdivisional game in Massena.

Marissa Manley, Bailey Dillabough, Mackenzie Young, Kharlene Garrow and Kayleigh Zappia each provided two hits for the Raiders.

Abby Kelly hit an RBI single for Salmon River.
