WATSON — State police say a 3-year-old boy got caught in the middle of a fight between his mother and uncle Monday afternoon and was pushed off a porch, hitting his head on the ground.

There was no report of injury, but the uncle - his mother’s brother - is facing charges. Timothy C. Bates, 21, of 6856 Erie Canal Road, was cited Tuesday with endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second-degree harassment.

Police said Mr. Bates is also accused of pushing his sister, Holly Gonyea, 25, Glenfield, off the porch at his residence.
