FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Danielle M. Clement, 35, of Hough Road, Massena, with following too closely following an accident at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday on West Hatfield Street. Police said Clement rearended a vehicle being operated by Penny Bradley, 48, of Norwood. Bradley complained of neck pain and was transported to Massena Memorial Hospital by Massena Rescue. Massena Fire also responded to the accident scene.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MASSENA - Village police charged Patrick J. Barber, 23, of 59 1/2 Maple St., Apt. 2A, Massena, with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana Tuesday afternoon. He reportedly was in possession of two Zolpidem pills, one Adderal and a small quantity of marijuana when police were called to investigate a complaint at his residence. Zolpidem is a sedative-hypnotic used to treat insomnia, and Adderal is a medication used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
UNSAFE BACKING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Phyllis R. Derouchie, 68, of Massena with unsafe backing following a property damage accident at 4 p.m. Tuesday on Stearns Street.
CELL PHONE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jami Lynn Monroe, 25, of Masssena for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 10:21 a.m. Wednesday on East Orvis Street.
UNINSPECTED MOTOR VEHICLE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Joseph L. Bishop, 24, of County Route 5, Dickinson Center, for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday on Andrews Street.
