CRIMINAL POSSESSION WEAPON - MASSENA - Village police charged Tyler R. Paige, 23, of 283 Main St., Apt. 1, Massena, with criminal possession of a weapon. Police said Paige was found to be in possession of brass knuckles during a traffic stop at 3:54 p.m. Thursday on West Hatfield Street.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Village police charged Randy A. Nason, 43, of 4 Victory Road, Massena, with unlawful possession of marijuana and an open container violation following an incident at 3:54 p.m. Thursday on West Hatfield Street.

ASSAULT - MASSENA - Village police charged Chantel M. Courson-Villnave, 21, of 14 Bishop Ave., Massena, with third-degree assault Thursday night. Police said the charge stemmed from an incident reported at 1:47 a.m. April 29 at the Delmar Tavern. Courson-Villnave reportedly struck Kirsten Jandreau in the face during the altercation. Jandreau was treated at Massena Memorial Hospital for injuries she reportedly suffered in the incident.

STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Stephanie A. Gilman, 22, of Route 131, Massena, for a stop sign violation following a traffic stop at 9:40 a.m. on Parker Avenue at Alvern.
