SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Anthony J. Ramirez, 20, of Warner, N.H., for speed in zone (47/30) following a traffic stop at 2:43 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on Elm Street.

DWI - POTSDAM - Village police charged Jacob C. Hoover, 21, of Hamburg with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 4:13 a.m. Thursday following a property damage accident on the Clarkson access road. He was also ticketed for operation at an imprudent speed and failure to keep right. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.10 percent.

0004 Traffic stop on Maple Street. Verbal warning issued.

0057 Received a report of possible vehicle larcenies in the Hamlin Powers parking lot on Clarkson campus. Officers responded.

0219 Received a report of subjects attempting to gain access to Old Snell Hall, Clarkson campus.Officer responded.

0243 Traffic stop on Elm Street. Ticket issued.

0258 Traffic stop on Main Street. Verbal warning issued.

0331 Traffic stop on Main Street. Verbal warning issued.

0356 Received a report of a property damage accident on the Clarkson access road. Patrol responded and made an arrest for driving while intoxicated.

0854 Received a report from Clarkson University reporting an incident that occurred at 1:04 p.m. Wednesday when someone threw eggs at an apartment on Riverside.No suspects.

1130 Larceny report received from village resident for property taken from his residence.

1135 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call in Norwood.

1140 Patrols dispatched to locate a suspicious person reported to be in the vicinity of Canton Potsdam Hospital.Subject was located and transported by NYSP to a local motel.

1201 Patrol responded to disabled vehicle on Sandstone Drive. Martin’s Service Station was contacted to assist and vehicle was towed.

1312 Rensselaer Falls resident fingerprinted for employment.

1409 Colonie resident assisted with equipment inspection for NYSP summons returnable to Potsdam Village Court.

1419 Patrol dispatched to check on a parking complaint (vehicle blocking sidewalk) on Market Street in the vicinity of Stewart’s.

1504 Littering complaint received. Plate information provided. Patrol assigned to investigate further.

1700 Two bad checks brought to the station by an employee at CJ’s for investigation.

1900 Patrol dispatched to fire call at 27 Lower Bay Street and found burned food to be the source of the alarm.

2024 Received a report of a vehicle squealing its tires on Maple Street in the vicinity of Martin’s Service Station.

2115 Received a report of a lost wallet.

2135 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.
