CANTON — St. Lawrence County will host a household hazardous waste collection day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 12 at the Human Services building on Route 310.

County residents may bring in household chemicals, garden pesticides, oil-based paint, batteries and electronic waste. Prescription drugs will also be accepted.

The event is sponsored by the county Solid Waste Department, the Development Authority of the North Country, the county Planning Department and the county Environmental Management Council.
