LOUISVILLE – Mrs. Cheryl L. “Boogie” LaPage, 46, of 14075 State Highway 37, Louisville, passed away Thursday morning, May 3, 2012 at her home, where she was surrounded by her loving family.

Cheryl was born March 23, 1966 in Massena, NY, the daughter of Mary Beck Newcombe and the late Irving Newcombe. She attended schools at Norwood-Norfolk and Madrid-Waddington. On April 13, 1996, she married Calvin F. LaPage at the Bethel Assembly of God with Rev. Douglas R. Shear, officiating. A previous marriage to Richard LaShomb ended in divorce.

Cheryl was the dog control officer for the Town of Louisville and the animal control officer for the Town and Village of Massena. Cheryl was active with Louisville and Massena Fire Departments and Rescue Squads. She also worked with individuals with disabilities. She enjoyed to music, flower gardening, and truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin; her children, Jason and Yvonne Newcombe of Massena; Richard, Jr. and Nicole LaShomb of Nicholville; her stepson, Daniel LaPage of Louisville; her mother, Mary Newcombe of Madrid; her maternal grandmother, Virginia Beck of Louisiana; and 8 grandchildren.

Cheryl is also survived by her brothers, Robert Earl and Scott Allen Newcombe, both of Massena; Leslie Jay Newcombe of Phelps, Michael Thomas and Steven James Newcombe, both of Chase Mills; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday 1-3 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where a celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jeffrey V. Aiosa, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department, Massena Rescue Squad, or Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
