CANTON Trailing by three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Canton softball team rallied for four to pick up a 7-6 win over Malone in a nonleague softball game Friday afternoon.
Sara Elliott had two hits for Canton (6-0 overall) and Lauren Smith tripled for the Golden Bears. Emma Rexford struck out eight.
Kristyn Reynolds led Malone (4-2) with two hits.
COLTON-PIERREPONT 15, MORRISTOWN 2
Brianna Beaulieu struck out 10 to lift Colton-Pierrepont past the Green Rockets (1-4) in a nonleague contest in Morristown.
Eve Whalen had two hits for the Colts (7-1) and Hunter Farr doubled.
TUPPER LAKE 6, CLIFTON-FINE 3
Carley Aldridge singled four times as Tupper Lake (4-1) defeated the Eagles in a nonleague game in Star Lake. Kelly Doolen had four hits and Sam Sanford doubled and singled for Tupper Lake. Shelby Peabody lead the Eagles (0-5) with a three-hit game.
BRUSHTON-MOIRA 9, SALMON RIVER 1
Emily OConnor struck out seven and allowed Salmon River (1-6, 0-4) only four hits in a North Division game in Brushton.
OConnor also had two hits, including a double, for the Panthers (3-2, 3-0). Haylea Gary went 2-for-3 for Brushton-Moira and Kaitlyn Lauzon was 2-for-3 for the Shamrocks.
INDIAN RIVER 16, CARTHAGE 7
Kamieka Barnes finished 4-for-5 and drove in four runs as the Warriors topped the Comets in an A Division game at Philadelphia.
Haley Prudhomme added two hits and four RBIs for Indian River (3-4, 2-3), which scored nine runs in the first inning, and Paige Morgia had two hits.
Brooke Craig led the Comets (1-6, 1-5), going 3-for-4.
SOUTH JEFFERSON 10, IHC 0
Heather Williams allowed one hit over five innings, and Brooke LaLone finished off the shutout as the Spartans blanked the Cavaliers in a crossover game at the Alex. T. Duffy Fairgrounds.
Angela Cataldo, Amanda Roberts and Kirsten Stewart led the attack with two hits apiece for South Jefferson (9-3, 6-3).
Mikayla Kolb had the lone hit for Immaculate Heart Central (2-7, 0-6) in the first inning.
