Bears Surge In Fourth Against Lowville; N-N Girls Top Huskies


LOWVILLE - A seven goal fourth quarter sealed the win for the Canton Central Boys Lacrosse team in a 13-6 win at Lowville on Saturday evening. Jesse Gilbert generated six goals and one assists, Eb Foote logged five goals and two assists and Brandon Rodee connected for two goals and one assist for the Bears who broke open a 6-3 third qurter lead. Jeff Hammond collected 10 saves for Canton.

Nate Gibson and Alex Sosebee each recorded one stop in relief.


Norwood-Norfolk 4, Malone 3: Jessica Harvey lined a single, advanced to second on a Carley Weaver groundout, moved to third on a passball and scored on a wildpitch for the game-winning run in the sixth inning for Norwood-Norfolk. Harvey also had a double while Alycia Short, Meghan Stevenson, Weaver, and Nikki Frego all singled.

Katie LaVoie had two hits for Malone. Kelly Lamica, Hailey Trim and Danielle Heden all singled.

Gabi Cole pitched the win striking out two. Emily Marshall took the loss in relief of Annie Sharlow.
